Yesterday, the Secretary of State for Commerce presented the #AfricaHorizon strategy review. It was a pleasure to take part in the institutional roundtable, which featured the CEO of ICEX, María Peña Mateos; the director of Economy and Trade for the Office of Economy and Trade at the Spanish Embassy in Dakar, Alejandro Ruiz; and the advisor to the Secretary of State for Commerce, Cristina Espi Vilchez. Representing Globaltec was our chairman and CEO, Javier Valero Artola.
Among the various messages conveyed at the meeting were: “The work carried out by the Secretary of State for Commerce is very constructive. It is essential for companies in Africa, a market that poses difficulties and positive challenges”, as well as, “We must help Spanish #companies make the most of this support to use both bilateral and multilateral #financing. The non-refundable FIEM product line is an example of this strategy; we must continue contributing human resources to the entire SEC structure”.
We are confident that the #AfricaHorizon strategy will help boost transactions on the African market and benefit a continent that presents great #opportunities and #challenges.
